1. Use the Windows key + E shortcut to open File Explorer.


2. Click “This PC” from the menu on the left.


3. Click the “View” tab, then check the “Hidden items” option.


4. Open the Windows installation drive (usually C:) and navigate to the following path:


Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

5. In the programs folder, right-click, then select “New”, and select “shortcut”.


6. Type the following command and click “next”:


shutdown.exe -s -t 00

7. Name the shortcut according to the voice command you want to use with Cortana. For example "Shutdown". Then click "finish".
