How to set Mouse and Touchpad Speed on Windows

 With a simple registry tweak, Windows 10 can maximize speed and pointer sensitivity much higher than the settings in the control panel.

Before you edit the registry, make sure your pointer speed is maximized in your mouse/touchpad control panel. Here's how:

1. Open the Start menu and type “Control Panel” in the search field.

2. Select “Mouse”. If you don't see the Mouse icon, select the “Large Icon” view.

3. Navigate to the “Pointer Options” tab in the Mouse Properties window.

4. Move the pointer speed slider to the right and uncheck “Enhance pointer precision”.

Edit your Registry to Maximize Pointer Speed

1. Press “Windows + R”, then type “regedit” in the box and press Enter.
