How to Hide Name and Email on Windows 'Login Screen

If you use a Microsoft account to log into your computer, Windows will usually display your real name and email address on the login screen. For some, this can be a privacy issue – for example, when you use your laptop in public, it is much safer if the user is required to enter a username and password to enter the computer.

Following are two ways to hide this personal information on the login screen:

Method 1: Edit Computer Policy to Hide Information

1. Type “Local Group Policy Editor” in search then press enter.
